Dating to the mid 18th century.
Fully hand sewn throughout.
Fashioned of leather with a linen gauntlet style cuff that is backed in a buttersoft brown kid leather with a half slit on the underside of the wrist.
The thumb in typical heart shaped seam with embroidered stitching atop the hand and fully around the gauntlet cuff.
The left palm is slightly darker than the right, the right has a darkened water stain on the inner thumb.
So rare to find 18th century gloves in any condition, let alone men's early gloves.
Widest point of hand: 8 inches
Middle fingertip to bottom edge: 11 1/2 inches
Around the bottom cuff: 13 inches
